Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you contact us or submit a booking request, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.
Who we are
Pawsitive Dog Grooming is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.
What we collect
- Information you provide in the booking request form: your name, email address, phone number, your dog’s name/breed, preferred date/time, and any message you choose to add.
- Technical/security information to help prevent spam and abuse: your IP address and the time the request was submitted (included with the request for troubleshooting and security).
- Bot-protection data: we use Cloudflare Turnstile to help block automated spam. This involves sending a verification token and your IP address to Cloudflare to confirm the request is from a real person.
How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a grooming appointment.
- To prevent spam, fraud, and misuse of our booking form.
- To keep our website reliable and secure (for example, rate limiting repeat submissions).
Our lawful bases (UK GDPR)
- Contract: processing your details to take steps at your request before agreeing an appointment.
- Legitimate interests: protecting the website from spam/abuse and keeping records needed to manage enquiries.
Who we share data with
- Email/hosting providers: form submissions are delivered by email, so your data is processed by our email/hosting systems.
- Cloudflare: Turnstile bot protection receives a verification token and IP address to validate submissions.
How long we keep it
Booking enquiries are typically kept for up to 12 months to manage appointments, handle follow-ups, and resolve any issues. We may keep messages longer where needed for legal, tax, or dispute reasons, and we delete them when no longer required.
Your rights
You have rights over your personal data, including:
- Access to a copy of your data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion (where applicable)
- Restriction/objection in certain circumstances
- Data portability in certain circumstances
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@pawsitivedoggrooming.co.uk.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). (We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.)
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
